Access the Arts: About Us

Access the Arts was established in 2018 and certified by the State of Ohio as a non-profit. It is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our primary purpose is to provide opportunities that unite the community and offer a platform for those who would like to share their talents to inspire others in all art forms.  We strive to provide an exposure to the arts and interactive opportunities for the elderly, the disabled and the underprivileged, and to promote appreciation for and education in the fine and performing arts for people of all ages. We are funded by grants, corporate donations and contributions from individuals.  If you would like to support our mission, please click the Donation tab above.

We are providing music and art therapy for the youth at the Medina County Juvenile Detention Center. We also offer fine and performing arts assemblies for area schools, and host several hands-on educational and interactive concerts in our community that are inclusive of all who want to participate.  The arts help us to celebrate differences, encourage creativity, and unite us with a common inspiration.

Many exciting events are coming to Sharon Center this summer!  From the Music in the Circle summer concert series to Family Movie Night to  the Yoga in the Park event, our gazebo will be buzzing with opportunities to interact with the arts and your neighbors in the community!  Stay tuned for more education, arts and entertainment.

Bringing The Arts To The Community

Music in the Circle, Family Movie Nights, Yoga in the Park, and the Sharon Showcase are all free arts events in Sharon Township.

The JOY Project begins at the Medina County Juvenile Detention Center in 2020. A series of music, art and STEM programs are a source of healing and inspiration for these troubled youth.
